Themes and color schemes

Ready-made themes

Instead of setting every color by hand, you can pick one of the ready-made themes in the ☰ menu → Settings → Lyrics appearance, in the "Ready-made themes" section (in the browser panel: the Settings tab). Available themes:

• Stage - black background, yellow and orange text. Very high contrast, ideal on a stage with spotlights, also used by people with low vision.
• Classic - black background, white verse and a bold, indented chorus, grey indented comments. Minimalist and readable in a dark room.
• Score - light background, dark muted text. Good for practice and rehearsals in a lit room.
• Chalkboard - dark green background, chalk-colored text. An atmospheric theme inspired by a school blackboard.

How do I apply a theme?

Click the theme - the preview shows the new colors right away, and after saving they change across the whole repertoire. Only the band owner can change themes.

A theme sets every text element: color, bold, italic, size and indent (chords included). So after switching to another theme, for example the indents of the previous one are not kept. A theme does not change the font or line spacing.

A theme only changes the song lyrics. The app frame (top bar, menu, windows) always stays dark and muted so it doesn't distract on stage.

Adjusting after choosing a theme

After choosing a theme you can still change individual colors, the font and element sizes by hand. A theme is a starting point, not a lock. Details: Colors and lyrics appearance.
