Creating a setlist
How to create a setlist in Lyricco. What a setlist is - a music block, not the entire evening.
What is a setlist?
A setlist in Lyricco is a set of songs planned for a single music block. It is not a list of songs for the entire evening - it is a plan for a specific stage entry.
A few examples:
- Wedding - If you play 10 music blocks during the evening, you create 10 setlists - one for each block. Each setlist contains the songs planned for that specific entry.
- Concert with a single set - If you play the entire concert without a break, one setlist with the full concert repertoire in the right order is enough.
Two ways to work with setlists
Lyricco offers two complementary approaches to planning music blocks:
1. Pre-made setlist templates (via browser)
On lyricco.app you create setlists in advance - as ready-made templates for blocks you regularly play. Template examples:
- "Opening block" - a fixed set of songs for the first entry
- "Post-dinner block" - repertoire for dinner time
- "After midnight block" - high-energy songs for late hours
Templates are always available in the app - in the stage view you can choose a ready setlist at any time. Before starting it you can still modify it: change the song order, add or remove songs. If something changes at a particular wedding, you adapt the template on the fly without having to create a new setlist from scratch.
This is ideal when you have fixed patterns for music blocks - you create a template once and then reuse it with minor adjustments for each event.
2. Planning a set live in the app
In the stage view you can build an entire next set from scratch during a break - without going to the browser. If you already have a vision for the next block tailored specifically to this event, use the option in the app:
Setlists -> "Plan next set"
- In the app menu choose "Setlists", then "Plan next set".
- Pick songs from the repertoire - tap them one by one to add them to the new block.
- Once the list is complete, tap "Finish and play".
- While playing, navigate through the songs by tapping the next song title at the bottom of the screen. No searching needed - the whole list is ready, just tap to continue. If you tap one song too many, the arrow on the left side of that bar lets you go back.
The difference: pre-made templates are for planning ahead. "Plan next set" is for building a block spontaneously during a break, tailored to the mood of the event at that moment.
How to create a setlist (template) via the browser?
- Go to the Setlists tab on lyricco.app.
- Click "New setlist".
- Enter a name (e.g. "Block 1 - slow", "Post-dinner block", "After midnight block").
- Add songs from the repertoire - click "Add song" and select from the list.
