Stage view
The stage view - the lyrics screen you play from and manage your repertoire from. Top bar, ☰ menu, Quick actions, on-screen buttons.
What is the stage view?
The stage view is Lyricco's main screen - dark, easy-to-read song lyrics on the full screen. You play from it on stage and you manage your repertoire from it. It opens when you start the Lyricco app (Android, Windows, PWA) or click "Display lyrics" in the panel at lyricco.app.
The Windows app starts in fullscreen and the Android app hides the system bars by itself. In the browser, fullscreen turns on with the first tap.
Top bar
- Title - the song name on the left, with the key in a frame (after transposition) and the artist below it.
- Pencil - edit the current song. Greyed out without internet.
- Shared screen - sync with the band, with the number of connected devices - details.
- Quick actions (slider icon) - the most important settings while playing.
- ☰ menu - songs, setlists, tags and settings.
☰ menu
The menu slides in from the right and has four tabs:
- Songs - search (title, artist, tag), a grid of letters and the list of all songs. Sorting: title, artist, recently added, plus a tag filter. Tapping a title shows the song, the "Next" arrow queues it up, and press and hold opens the song menu (Open, Play next, Edit, Add to queue, Add to setlist, Tags, Delete). The "Select" button lets you pick several songs at once, and "+ Add song" adds a new one or imports a file. Sample songs are marked "demo", and a card above the list has a button to remove them.
- Setlists - the quick queue and saved setlists - details.
- Tags - songs grouped by tag - details.
- Settings - Lyrics appearance (for the whole band), This device, Band, Subscription, Repertoire (import, export, trash, demo songs), Account, Help, Lyrics version and Previous version.
The top of the menu, under the header, shows your plan status during the trial, on the Basic plan or when the subscription ends within 30 days. Such information never appears on the lyrics screen.
On a tablet or computer (from about 900 px wide) the menu can be pinned - it then stays open next to the lyrics. Without internet the menu works for browsing and playing, and actions that need saving are greyed out.
Quick actions
- Transpose - for the session, not saved - details.
- Text size - A− / A+.
- Chords in lyrics, Diagrams below lyrics and Instrument (guitar, ukulele, keyboard).
- Auto-scroll - a slider for the time to scroll through the whole song - details.
- Touch navigation - details.
- On-screen buttons - choose which buttons are shown over the lyrics.
- Pinned note and Message to the band - details.
- Blackout (blanks the screen for a break), Screen on (the screen won't turn off during the show) and Fullscreen.
On-screen buttons
On the right side of the lyrics there are semi-transparent buttons for the most common actions. By default: auto-scroll, A+, A−, chords, screen on, fullscreen and - always at the very bottom - message. "Screen on" (the screen does not turn off during the show) is on by default - turn it off with one tap, and the choice is remembered on the device. In Quick actions → "On-screen buttons" you can choose your own set (up to 8 buttons, including −½/+½ transposition, diagrams and screen on). The "›" arrow hides the buttons and "‹" brings them back. The choice is saved on the device.
Searching for a song
In the Songs tab type part of a title, an artist name or a tag - the list filters as you type. Search ignores accents, so "zolta" also finds "Żółta".
Settings remembered on the device
Text size, on-screen buttons, touch navigation, chords, diagrams, instrument and the pinned menu stay after restarting the app. Live transposition and focus mode are deliberately not remembered.
On first launch a short tour shows the most important places. If you prefer the previous look of the stage view, switch in Settings → "Previous version" - details.
