Tags
How to label songs with your own categories (e.g. tempo, occasion, lineup) and quickly find them in your repertoire and in the stage view.
What are tags?
Tags are your own categories you can attach to any song in your repertoire - independent of its title or artist. They help you quickly find a specific group of songs, for example by tempo, the occasion you play a song for, or the instrumental lineup it needs.
Example tags: fast, slow, church, wedding, with brass, acoustic. Name a tag however best fits how your band works - Lyricco does not impose a fixed list of categories.
Adding a tag to a song
In the add/edit song form (below the Title/Artist/Key fields) you will find a "Tags" field. Start typing a name and Lyricco will suggest matching, existing tags from your band. If the tag does not exist yet, an "Add new tag" option appears at the top of the list - click it to create and assign it right away. You can assign any number of tags to a single song.

Managing tags
In the Repertoire tab click "Tags" (right after "Setlists") to see a list of all your band's tags along with the number of songs assigned to each. From there you can rename a tag or delete it - deleting a tag does not delete any songs, it only removes that label from them.
Clicking a tag name opens its management page - you will see your entire repertoire with checkboxes. Checking or unchecking a song instantly assigns it to that tag or removes it. You can also filter the list with the search box to quickly find a song in a large repertoire.
Tags in the stage view
When you type a phrase into the stage view search box, Lyricco searches not only titles and artist names but also song tags. In the repertoire menu you will also find a separate "Tags" button (next to "Setlists") - it shows a list of every tag used in your repertoire, and tapping one instantly filters the repertoire to songs with that tag, sorted alphabetically.

Example use case: tag songs played only in church with "church", and high-energy songs for the late part of a wedding with "fast". While playing, just tap the matching tag in the menu to instantly see that slice of your repertoire - no need to scroll the full list.
